The three risk stages
Stage 1
Default: after 1 minute. Sound, vibration and a caution on the protected phone. Its time is adjustable.
Stage 2
Default: after 2 minutes. First SMS to trusted people with the unknown number. Its time is adjustable.
Stage 3
Default: after 3 minutes. Repeat SMS and a High Risk warning. Its time is adjustable.
Each stage runs once per call. The time of each of the three stages is configured independently, and any stage can be disabled. Duration alone never ends a call.
How to stop a risky call
Trusted person's action
Check that the call is still in progress.
Send any ordinary SMS to the protected phone, such as “Call me back”.
ProZvonki verifies the sender, ends the unknown call and locks unknown calls.
No command word is required. The SMS must arrive during the active unknown call.
When a one-time code arrives
An OTP received during an unknown call triggers the same emergency flow: the call ends, trusted people are alerted and unknown incoming and outgoing calls are locked. An ordinary SMS without a numeric code should not trigger it.
How to unlock unknown calls
Tap the “Unknown calls are blocked” banner.
Contact the trusted person.
Ask for the current six-digit authenticator code or use one backup code.
Enter it and tap Unlock.
Emergency numbers, trusted people and contacts saved before protection triggered remain available. The lock has no timer and stays on until a valid code is entered.
Troubleshooting
An alert SMS was not sent
The call lock remains active. Use Notify trusted contacts again and check mobile service, the SIM plan, SMS permission and the saved trusted number.
A six-digit code does not work
Choose the ProZvonki entry, enter exactly six digits, try the newly refreshed code and enable automatic date and time on both phones. Repeated failures temporarily pause new attempts.
The trusted phone is lost
Use a previously saved backup code, then set up a new authenticator and backup-code set.
Frequently asked questions
Does protection work for incoming and outgoing calls?
Yes, for unknown numbers. Timing starts after the other party answers; ringing and time on hold are excluded.
Will a call end after three minutes?
No. Timed stages only warn. Emergency stopping needs an OTP or a trusted person's SMS during the active unknown call.
Can stages be configured separately?
Yes. Each can be enabled, disabled and timed separately, but their order must be preserved.
Can the settings PIN unlock calls?
No. Unlocking needs the trusted person's authenticator code or a backup code.
Does the authenticator need internet?
No. Codes are generated locally.
Are contacts or SMS uploaded?
No. Contacts, the call log and message content are not sent to an external server.
Can the feature make a mistake?
Yes. No automated tool provides 100% protection. It reduces risk and gives trusted people another way to intervene, but does not replace safe habits.
Is the feature free?
It is currently being tested for free. Terms may change later. Standard carrier SMS charges may apply.
